Tanisha Preston, First Nations, Métis and Inuit Teacher Coordinator

Tanisha Preston has been appointed as our First Nations, Métis and Inuit Teacher Coordinator and will start her new role in the 2026-2027 school year.

With her experience as a classroom teacher at Southview Community School, Tanisha has built a strong commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive teaching practices. Through her work with students, families, and community, she has demonstrated a thoughtful and relationship-based approach to Indigenous education.

In this role, Tanisha will support schools and teachers in continuing to embed First Nations, Métis, and Inuit perspectives in meaningful ways and will work alongside school teams and teachers. 

Tanisha is joining a strong team and she looks forward to building on their foundation moving forward. We welcome Tanisha to her new role.
